Greasing 94 F150 4x4

I tried to grease my "new" 94 F150 4x4 SB tonight. I could only find zirks on the rear driveline and the steering rack. Apparently I need to buy a needle for my grease gun to grease the front driveline and front axle universal joints by slipping the needle under the rubber seals. Do you guys really do this every oil change or do most people ignore it? This seems like a really dumb method of lubrication.

Many of the factory parts are not greasable. Seems Ford thought the factory lube in the u-joints, ball joints, etc... would last forever.

Actually, they knew that non-greasable U-joints are stronger and better-sealed than greasable ones. When they wear out, replace them with Spicer Gold sealed ones.

Greasing 94 F150 4x4

I replaced the ball joints and steering components with greasables when I rebuilt my front end. Maybe the sealed u-joints are superior but I'm not buying into that on the other components. When I replaced my upper ball joints there was no lubricant left in there. Now I understand that petroleum products may make the new components with composite innards deteriorate faster but I can get Mobile grease cartridges for a couple of dollars more and take care of that.
