I got the same deal a couple months ago, and I agree its a good deal...when it works Whilst travelling from Greenville, SC to Wilmington, NC yesterday (and fighting holiday traffic the entire way) I could only get one station to tune in: Animal Talk. All others faded in and out at a regular .5 sec rate. After 10 minutes of listening how to integrate new dogs into a family that already has dogs I switched over to Pandora via bluetooth and my cell phone. If AT&T didn't have a conniption every time I got close to 5GB on my unlimited data plan I'd dump the XM/Sirius.

The AT&T unlimited data plan sure was nice before they started the bandwidth throttling. I still do Pandora from time to time, just not as much as I'd like.
I got Sirius in my car (active) and wife has Sirius in hers (not active)
Can I do a "family plan"?
I wouldn't think it'd be a problem. I've had up to 4 radios migrating in and out of my subscription as I changed cars and they never had a problem giving me the multiple radio discounts.
What about the actual services - live traffic and weather? The weather map sucks for what it is, but at least I can push a couple buttons real quick and get an "idea" when I'm on the road, instead of trying to navigate my smartphone. There are uses, I don't so much need the music/radio portion but I like the tools.
I just found that I never used live traffic updates. I've been without it for so long I just don't care anymore. I am getting tired of listening to the same music. I seem to be stuck in the 70's.

I know the feeling. Wife likes the classical music, I like staying awake while I'm driving!
I had Sirius in my Mustang and my current Fusion, and once the trial runs out I won't be renewing. All those deals are great, but from what I understand they auto renew at the going rate of around $12 after the promotion is through.
I pay for it for my wife's Sienna, but it's just not worth it for me. Although I'm in SYNC withdrawl with the new Ex, so I may have to make an exception.
They tried to auto renew at the full rate on me for a truck that I traded in to the dealer. The new truck that I bought did not have a sirius radio but they refused to refund what they charged to the credit card. The joke was on them when we informed them that the card that they charged was not mine but my wife's. They finally issued a credit. Now I only pay them via a money order after they bill me
My wife disconnected hers a while back, and they re-activated it.
It just seemed like the 1st year or so was interesting, but after awhile it seems like the same songs over and over.
We have a better time downloading music and using mp3 players and such, you can listen to what you want, when you want.
Even now that it's reactivated, we're still not using it, the novelty is worn off, and it's just not enjoyable.

I had a similar experience. They auto-renewed a car I'd traded off. I'd had a three year subscription in that car and when renewal came up, I called and cancelled because I'd traded the car a month earlier. The following month, I got a nice $463 charge on my credit card for another three years. I called them up again and they assured me they'd credit my card but when my statement arrived the next month, no credit. So I called them once again and they said they didn't know what happened but they'd issue a credit on my card. Yet another month and statement rolls around but no credit. Now I'm getting pissed. I called my credit card company and they issued a temporary credit while waiting for a response from Sirius. Sirius responded to the credit card company that I'd never contacted them to cancel my subscription so once again the charge is put onto my card account. Now I'm getting really pissed so I write to the BBB and N.Y. state Attorney General. About a week passed before I got a call from Sirius supervisor telling me that a credit has been issued and that they were very sorry for my ordeal.
Yeah, right! I'll never give them my business again, it took six months to get resolved.

Wow, something like that would send me through the ceiling. I try to use AMEX for recurring billing as they really stand by their customers. I had a similar experience to yours with Time Warner. I called up AMEX and the rep asked for the TW customer service phone #, dialed them up right then with me conferenced in. Funnily, we got thru to the same TW CSR who I'd already spoke with (to no resolution) and she seemed a bit surprised to be hearing from AMEX on my behalf AMEX started in on the TW rep and my credit was issues right there and then.
