Smog pump delete
Got the smog pump off and someone posted a diagram saying I needed an 84.5in belt but it shows the tensioner above the alternator which is false he tensioner is below it... So does anyone know what size belt I need for a smog pump delete? 96 5.0

Smog pump delete
I by passed my smog pump years back. All you need to do is get a piece of wire close to same thickness as a belt and run it around all other pulleys like you would your belt and mark the new length. Take that piece of wire to parts store and have them match a belt to that length.

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but figured I would post my situation here instead of starting a new thread. I have a '96 with a 351 and my smog pump seized on me. I just used a belt off an an '89 (I believe) f-250 with a 351. It changed my routing slightly but works great.
