The turn signal switch on my Ford is finally inop. The wipers and hi/lo switch works but the turn signals do not. The hazards do work, and the cruise controls do not work. Can anyone tell me how serious this is, and how to fix it? Thanks.
Check the fuses, I believe the cruise is a separate problem, does the horn work (i think they are on the same fuse). Other then that, the cruise is a separate problem, if the fuses are good, I can walk you through diagnosis with my ford dealership manual, it's tricky, but i can help you fix it. The flasher could be the problem with your turn signals. If you pop off the fuse panel cover, there is a big round plastic "thing" which is called the flasher. You just pull it out, and plug a new one in, $2-$3 bucks, get a "heavy duty" flasher at a place like napa or autozone. They last longer and will handle the extra load of trailer lights if ever needed.

No horn. Fuses are good, pretty sure it's in the wiring. I'm just scared to work around the air bag if I have to get in the collumn to splice some wires.
The flasher is a separate problem from the horn/cruise. Get yourself over to the electrical forum . Can't help ya there.

Air Bag?!?!
Your truck doesn't have an air bag. Theres several screws that hold the plastic cover on the shaft of the steering wheel. Theres a top cover that has the hazard lamp button on it and a lower one. Remove this screws and you'll get full access to the turn signal/wiper stalk.

LOL, forgot to mention I recently bought a '96 F-150 XLT 4x4. Thanks, I'll try that one, Pastmaster.
