I had the Pirelli Scorpions STR's on my X when I bought it. They were D rated and over-sized which to me is just asking for trouble on a 3/4 ton truck. As a people hauler maybe, but if you "ever" actually use your X to tow then why would you take a chance like that. I couldn't wait to "upgrade" to the Michelins. All better now.
Not a fan - I see a lot of them come through the shop and they don't wear evenly and don't seem to last long. I had a set on my 03 Expy and they didn't do well in the rain and were noisy. Can't remember which model of Scorpion it was but was an A/T. For the money there are definitely better choices.
I had ATR's on mine and was unimpressed. They did stay round and in balance, but the shoulders cupped and would buzzz on the highway at the slightest turn. I think I paid ~$750 for them in 2007 and put about 50k on 'em. They pale in comparison to the Michelin's MS2 I have now
