I have a 200s PSD EX 4x4, after making sure no transfer case problems, no bad hubs, wheel bearings, u joints etc I am sure my noise/vibration at around 55 MPH on is from a bad tranny mount. Only very loud in cab when on the gas, goes away when not under load. It is sure loud roar in cab, cannot possibly get on the freeway without going mad. Anyone else had this problem?
It's not the mount itself and why don't you look at it? It sounds like water in the plug holes. Have you changed the boots and plugs lately? It can run OK until it gets a load on it and start missing at freeway speed and then it can vibrate the truck like a bad U-joint will.
I knew I would screw up sooner or later. Thanks for that excellent trivia info though, I will see what mine has today. Now get under there and look at the mount.
I am really at a loss for this vibration/roar. I feel like it is a deal breaker though as I would not want to buy something and have the tranny or something else go out on it. Could be simething simple but I am not willing to bet on it.
