hey guys so i bought an old dixson tachometer at the goodguys swap meet this past weekend for $10. problem is, i have no idea how to hook it up.
the power and ground wires i get, but what about the two holes for "signal"?
and am i correct in thinking that i just thread a screw into each hole, and then wrap the wire around it to make contact? sorry if these seem like stupid questions, i really have no idea what i'm doing here.
the engine is a 352 fe w/ a points distributor. and here are a few reference pics of the tach
also, i'm not sure if this is the appropriate thread to be asking this.
if not, my apologies.
I did some quick google searching on dixson tach wiring. I didnt find a whole lot but it looks like you might need some sort of sensor to make it work. You might try google and put the numbers on the tach in search and see what comes up. Good luck with it.
