Its Time To Deploy....

Weapons are clean. Bags are packed. Cooler secured.

Time to deploy to the fields to protect the good citizens of North Texas from the dreaded Taliban Dove birds...yet again.

Not hunting my place this year. On a lease about 40 minutes from the house and 30 minutes from the lake house. Hell, I might even hunt during some weekday mornings this year just to say I did. Just go into the office a little late. (I know the boss pretty well).

Good luck to all you dove hunters and....be careful out there. The life you save may be my own.

Careful of them there suicide dive bombers. Sometimes takes a pretty loose choke to make a clean save.

My Stealth Observation Base vehicle will provide some measure of protection from the feathered beasts.

I heard you were sleeping with the boss.

My trip to dove hunt consists of walking out the back door. Got to defend the home first.

Well that, and trips to town for more ammunition.

I was hoping to do that some day but, now Da Boss says we ain't building in the country...so no veranda for me to hunt from.

In fact, thinking about selling the place. Should have done it before new capital gains and Obamacare tax...I mean fees...I mean penalties...or whatever they want to call it.

But, it the meantime, I guess I'll just kill me a bunch of those evil Ellen Barkin lookin' Dove Birds.

I hunted for about an hour opening morning and got 2 birds. Haven't been out to hunt since.

Spent the rest of the weekend dozing firelines and helping the neighbors fight fire up at the ranch.
