Unhappy Coolant? Interesting

Hi all, have been lurking and learning, not necessarily in that order. I have a 94 F150xlt 5.0 auto with 122,000...Always loosing small amount of coolant and cannot find leaks anywhere and it has not leaked into the oil system. Don't ask how I know this. But when I park in lot with engine higher than tail by 1 or more feet, the coolant leaks out muffler Is this a head gasket? let me know your thoughts. Thanks,

Are you sure its coolant and not condensation?

I would suggest you take a hard look at all of your hoses, Including the little hose that warms the throttle body. Also look at your thermostat housing the paper gasket has a bad habit of leaking. I replaced a water pump because of one. You can run (or have run) a compression test and a cylinder leak down test to rule out a head gasket. I have a 92 with a 302 136,000 and have had to replace all of the hoses.
Hope this helps

Jim, thanks, I will look at all hoses and thermostat... Yes, I know the taste and color of the coolant, but I also look for ideas of other things that may be wrong.

sandy

ps:when I park truck angled other way there are no leaks at the front.
