motor swap
I was wondering if any of you had ever tried to swap a 460 into
a half ton truck, I was thinking it might be best to find a wrecked truck . O K be nice yall its my first time

You'd also need the transmission (different bellhousing bolt pattern), the front suspension (heavier engine), possibly the core support (bigger radiator), plenty of wiring,... 
Is finding one starting to sound like the right way to go?

I don't think the 6-sp was built until ~'98, and I think the 7.5L was discontinued by then, so I doubt it would fit. The ZF S5-42 (diesel version) will bolt up, though.
