You are asking for a nightmare. You would be far better off finding a 4x4 chassis & putting your body on it. If you use a '73-'79 you will need to shorten the chassis a bit. The frame for a 4x2 is different than the frame for a 4x4. You will have frame mods to do including removing crossmembers & putting crossmembers in if you insist on trying to convert your chassis. Just think the 4x4 frame you pull the crossmembers from could just as easily be the frame you put your body on.
Thanks for the help I think.Kinda discouraging but even if I splice the 2 frames it will be worth it.A 67 4x4 crew cab is a rare beast.Have any of you tried to do this before?
Maybe in the Treasure Valley, but not up here in Alaska. There are several around here going for about $1-2K here. I paid 1000 for my 70 and 1800 for my 76.

nice.Ive been looking for one for years. There out there but not reasonably priced unless there rusted out.I paid $1800.The short beds alone are going for $1000 here
They look the same, but looks can be deceiving. 1967's have one year only parts not shared with 1968/72's.
1967 only: Firewall, dashboard, radio, heater, brake & clutch pedals, bracket they suspend from, master cylinders, power brake boosters, proportioning valves, hood side emblems, grilles, instrument cluster backs.
The doors are 1967 only: 1967: You push the inside handles forward to lock the doors. 1968/72's have door lock *****.
1967 only: Door shells, window regulators, window crank handles, door lock remote controls, inside door handles, door latches, armrests, rods for the latch and door lock cylinders, vent frames and handles.
1967/72 same: Upper/lower hinges, outside door handles, door lock cylinders, glass, division bars and weatherstrips.
Hey,you didnt mention the power steering box. Will a newer model fit?
Everything fits, it's all just a matter of money. Will what pwr steering box fit what? Again if you plan on trying to convert your frame to a 4x4 frame you are looking at mountains of fab work. Will it fit is nothing to even be concerned about. It is something you will have to make fit.
Since you would have to modify any frame to convert it, other than finding one from a 67-72 CC 4x4, why not just front stub it. I imagine any front stub from 65 to 77 (early) and maybe 78 and 79, would be the same frame width. Get one from a 76 or early 77 and have disc brakes. If the 78-79 frame is the right width where you need to graft it, that's the one I would use. They make a much better 4x4. Integral power steering and a high pinion front with married T-case. I've had a bunch of highboys and the divorced T-case and low pinion front just have too many ground clearance issues and they are hell on U-joints.
I think your best idea would be to donate the 67 crew cab to *ME*. I'll mount it onto my 67 f250 4x4 chassis, and just shorten up my box accordingly. It's a perfect solution!
