Wow, post the pic and the vultures are already circling! Glad to hear all are OK (not counting the X of course). Good luck on whichever path you choose!

vulture not at all, I rather give my money to someone on this site that’s going to put it back into his new X rather than order the parts from a store.
I thought we looked more like an eagle, but seriously the excursions have been out of production for 7 years, so there should be a demand for the parts you don't want in the classified section of this fourm
I'm afraid I've finished off my X by tipping it over on the driver side last Friday night.
Sorry, I don't mean to rub salt in your wounds, but how did you manage that? I mean, I know the X isn't exactly a sports car, but it's not as tippy as a Suzuki Samurai either.
Soft wallowy suspension overdue for replacement? Hit a curb broadside that helped it on its way over?
Inquiring minds want to know so that others may learn from the experience.
I'm sorry, though, to hear it happened, and that you didn't have full collision, so will be eating the expense out of pocket.

i disagree my ex is a sports car :P .. i like to mess with sports cars on curves all the time ...
Glad to see your okay and sorry to see the X in that shape. It's just too bad you can't fix it for a reasonable price. Find onewith a bad motor and start swapping parts.
Yeah, the one I bought stayed on its roof for a few hours according to the previous owner, and he says the roof only started collapsing after it came to rest on the roof. Apparently his wife got out fine before it ever settled.
Still not a good situation, but I imagine, if you contact some local junkyards, you might be able to find a decent body fairly cheap and then swap everything over. 7.3s are highly sought!
I live in the mountains so it doesn't take much sometimes. So front right tire leaves asphalt slightly while I get blinded by head-lights on a curve, unfortunately there is little of a flat shoulder and then there now comes a culvert hole which sucked me in further and to the right, then what follows is a increasing sloped embankment back towards the road, then finally a little rock bump that launches the front end. This is all at 20-25mph.
Best I can recall it lands on the road like a whale breaching and slamming back into the water. How do you think that felt? To top it off I get a ticket for unsafe mountain driving. What's that about? REVENUE!! Talk about salt in a wound.
