many people use the '99-03 (maybe newer than '03 as well) ones out of the super-dookies. That's what I have in mine, my buddy has in his '75 and many guys in the engine swaps forum here have used. They come with either plastic end tanks or aluminum end tanks - get the all aluminum one.
It's not really that hard. I just followed the leads of of several guys who had done it before. The one unfortunate part is that there's no space to mount an A/C condenser in front of it. There is lots of space between the IC and the radiator but putting a condenser between there would make the A/C completely useless. If I ever get around to adding A/C the condenser will go under the bed with an electric fan. Just another thing to be aware of when doing such a swap.
Oh yea were differently short room in front of the radiator, Thats one of my next projects fixing my A/C and sticking in an inter cooler, But I probably have more room between the fan and radiator being a IDI, I have already spaced it back 1" and stuck the core in the hole instead of being in front of it,But my tubes have to both come in the drivers side no room at all on the passenger side.
When I had the 75 front clip on the mine I had a 93 dodge IC and now I have a 2000 PS more room with the 79 forntclip I have a vinageair condencer on mine infront of the IC.I still need to charge it.I just got all the AC buttoned up.switched everything toVintageAir.gives me alot more room inder the dash and in the enginebey.
