How can I tell what size motor is in my 71 F-100?

How many valve cover bolts does it have?

What is the VIN # ?

There is 5 bolts for each valve cover and the vin# is F1OYKKOO521 Thanks

Engine Size

5 bolts is a FE engine, "y" in the vin indicates it is a 360 engine!

......however, the original 360 might have been removed, converted, etc in the past 32 years. Only real way to tell is measure stroke and bore.
