Custom Headliner
The headliner in my "87 F-150 was starting to sag, so I took it all down. Now I am thinking I want to do something different up there. I was thinking about maybe putting up one color of fabric up there and then use either a lighter or darker colored fabric to spell out FORD, either the block letters or the fancy symbol. What do you guys think? I can't figure out which way to put it so it doesn't look backwards depending on which way you are looking at it. Anyone have any other suggestions??

I had an interior guy do mine, and my seat at the same time in black diamond tuck, It looks nice. But that might be out of the question if you are trying to do it yourself. If I was gonna do the "FORD" I would do it so u could look straight up while sitting in the seat and read it. Just my two cents though, good luck.

Go to an upholstery shop and buy the headliner material in whatever color your interior is. Then take it to a t-shirt screen printing shop and have them print the Ford oval onto it, but tell them NOT to send it through the oven - it has to be flash dried, or the foam backing will melt. Give them a small scrap to test first, because it may melt anyway.
I agree that the bottom of the oval should be forward.
