Radiator Selection?
So I'm looking for advice on purchasing a new radiator. My current radiator has started weeping coolant from the top and possibly bottom seam, and I figure I should plan to replace it. However, I am overwhelmed by the number of options and prices. The truck is 73 F100 engine is a 428 FE/4speed from a Ford Galaxy. I am always leery of AutoZone and discount website parts, but they are coming in around $250. Napa lists one options for the F100 which is $380. Finally, National Parts Depot has many options, including high efficiency extra cooling units (desert option and eskimo package). These units are very expensive ($500), but are they worth the additional price? I typically do city/highway driving and some light towing (rarely), but live in the HOT South. Thanks for any advice on this.

Have you considered just having it repaired? any radiator shop can solder those seams closed for a nominal price.
I had my original radiator resoldered along the top tank, cost me $45, that was 4yrs ago and it's still leak free.
