Color Question?
Hi I am new here. I am the current owner of a 2000 F150. I am looking to trade up here soon and my price range is around $15,000. One particular truck caught my eye on AutoTrader and I was curious about the color and wanted some opinions on it.

Is this the dark gray / gunmetal gray or it brown? I cannot figure it out and I will be going Monday to look at it but I wanted to be sure before hand.

not sure man, I am not great at colors either! I say if you like the color when you see it in person, who cares. As long as you like it. Looks like a sharp truck overall though. do some research on the spark plug issue on here, that is not enough to keep you from buying it, but you should be aware of it going in. And then listen to the engine close, a tick that goes away above 1,200 rpm is normal, any "metal on metal" sound though or rattle type sound means trouble.

I like the color I was just curious. My current truck I have babied beyond belief but the previous owner did unforeseen and unspeakable things that I am tired of paying for. Going to continue shopping around and maybe up my price to find the perfect truck.

Looks gray to me, and in the description it says "mineral gray", looks nice either way though.
I would take that truck to a private mechanic before you buy it. I have had tons of issues with my 5.4, and I would hate to see you get stuck with a bum truck. Read up on the cam timing issues and low oil pressure problems with this engine, and I believe the 05s had the problem with the spark plugs as well.
Just be informed, and I bet by asking these questions that you can get a much better price as well.
