2000 PSD exhaust

I have a question for all of you that may seem dumb. I have the 50 hp chip in my truck, and am adding a tymar intake. Will I notice any performance increase if I upgrade to a 4 or 5 inch exhaust. What is the benefit, if any, of the 5 inch over the 4 inch. My egt's never have been high so I am not really to worried about that. Thanks, LB

If you don't have high EGT's and don't tow then I wouldn't worry about it.

If you have a chip I hope you are using gauges. If not, install immediately. A 5" exhaust is overkill unless you are going to completely upgrade everything like injectors, but a 4" will increase performance.
