Verifying mileage
I am looking at buying a 2000 Lariat LE which is unbelievably clean. The mileage ( 17,033 ) seems to be in order at the dealership. The truck has had a Superchip & Hypertech Power programmer installed, the Hypertech is included with the truck.
Is there a way of verifying the actual mileage from the vehicles computer or OBD. The guy isn't giving it away but if the miles are true then its worth the little extra.

My truck has about 11,500 right now. I have use of a company vehicle so it sits most of the week. (01 f250)
My grampa's car had around 25,000 after 10 years. He didn't have a whole lot of places to go. It was a 87 olds. Now my younger brother has the car with around 70,000.
