I have a 2002 Ford F-250 w/ 7.3L. I beleive there is a vacuum leak in my system somewhere. My A/C is stuck on defrost on any setting. But I have an electronic shift 4x4 and it clicks on instantly and I think that is vacuum opperated. Where should I start to try and fix this problem.
I just started playing with some hoses and i followed two hoses to this little box thing that has wires going to it. I do not know what this is, or what it could be called.
not those, its two lines that come off the reservoir that go into what im taking about. but its right next to both of those. i'll take a picture of it when this tropical storm passes
Just start pulling and plugging hoses. Start at the ones u can reach by the pump it self, play with those for a while. Then if your getting vac still, go to hubs and unplug the hoses and plug them with something ( I used a Robertson....lol) I found out both my hub seals are gone, and with other diagnosing my solenoid is no good.....
