beginner with a tight budget
Hello everyone. I am a beginner right now in the shop. I dont have a lot of money but i want to turn my 91 f-250 xlt lariat, 7.3 deisel (completely stock) into something i can brag about. If you have any suggestions on something inexpensive i could do to it to make it meaner. I would love to here from ya. thanks

What about getting a set of used rims and slightly larger used tires? You can sometimes find some good deals and that will definitely give your truck a new look.

Detail as much as the undercarriage as possible, clean with a good degreaser, allow to dry 24 hours, prime with rustoleum primer designed for heavily rusted surfaces and top coat with rustoleum semi-gloss black. Both the paints can be purchased at your local walmart and other top coat colors are available. Tint the windows, all except the windshield, ha-ha. Get a container of polishing compound and hand rub the paint, wash with blue dawn dish detergent and then give it a good coat of Liquid Glass or your favorite wax (liquid glass will give results). Should shine bright enough to require sunglasses!! Detail your wheels. Scrub the tire sidewalls with degreaser. Use a good polish and handrub all the chrome and stainless parts. make sure the truck sets level, nothing worse than a lop sided truck! Keep it simple, overkill can wreck an otherwise good lookin truck.
