I am looking for a cover for my 48 ford....I always park it in the garage but it still gets dust. Any recomendations of what type I should get. The cheap ones? Or Flannel etc.... jim

Vehicle covers?

Jim,
It all depends on the paint job. It goes back to the old saying, "If you have a $10 head buy a $10 helmet. I'd check with some of the cover manufacturers and tell them:

your weather conditions
soil type
and paint type

then get their suggestions

If it's for garage use what you need is a soft "dust" cover. They are cheaper and lighter than out door models.

Wax the vehicle thoroughly and use a flannel car cover if it's indoors.

Vehicle covers?

I have a cotton cover then I put a tarp on that, to keep the dust out of the cotton. Seems to work well.

Regardless of where the vehicle will be parked the cover must breathe.

I have 3 covers from: http://www.beverlyhillsmotorsport.co...tomcovers.html

They have lasted for many years and have not affected the finish.
I also keep a small fan running on low 24/7 to keep the air moving in my garage.

I have bought from midamerica and beverlyhills- $80 to $200. All last about the same. I found that spending more did not mean much for longevity.

Actually the more expensive covers because they are softer wear faster.

Just a fine point.
