Axle Code = "97" Is this LS or not?
Usually, it will be a letter and a number if it is LS. Mine is H9 = 3.55 Traction-Lok. Check the rearend tag that is bolted under one of the rear pan bolts. It will have a number(usually on the bottom row,starting next to the bolt head) that will look something like 3 L 55. This would be a 3.55 Traction-Lok. If it just has 3 55, then it is a standard open rearend.

I am beginning to think that I don't have an LS as the first number on the differential tag reads: 9330A, and the second number reads: 10 88 0629. I think I have a 4.10 differential...no "L" in the numbers.
