What is the biggest backspacing we can run without rubbing, front and back?
Weird question I know, but I ran across some really nice rims and tires 20x9 with a 6in backspacing. They are aftermarket that were on a dodge ram.
fronts no more than 4.5" backspace if you want your full turning capabilities
rear 5 to 5.5"
Thats considering most 20's are in 9 to 10" wide
Also why do you want such a big/wide wheel? It wont turn for nothing if you dont have power steering. And it just looks goofy since they came stock with 15x6
I found 4 KMC Surges on CL for $120 20x9 with tires. They cost $315 per wheel new. 2 needed to be fixed and tires replaced other 2 are mint and had damn near new tires on them. Couldnt pass it up. I dont plan on dropping the truck like I want to, because I actually use my bed, haul my bike. The IMO the stockers look goofy, tucked under way too much. I want to fill my wheel wells and maintain the ride I have, I also converted to power steering.
Well, I got them put on. I have $300 dollars tied up in these. Only problem is, now I can tell how off something is. There is more space on the left side rear wheel well then the right, and my driver side front rubs a bit on the fender and the passenger side doesnt. A little messaging and its corrected. Now I just gotta get it one color, maybe a rattle can job is in order.
Looks like the money would have been better spent on a lot of other things. Bling wheels and rattle can paint, that's the ticket. The truck is going to scream hillbilly redneck high school kid. But then I was one once too and nobody could tell me anything then either. Hope you have power steering

Cool story bro....I dont mind personal opinions, but please dont assume you know me. You can keep that condescending **** to yourself, thanks.
I'm looking to put 18x9 wheels on my 70 f100. I'll be using a 1.25" wheel adapter but the wheels have a 6.5" backspacing. U think these would work on my f100 with stock suspension?
