Front Valance Compatability Question

I have read that the lower fender extensions are the same 48-52... Does this mean the lower grill or lower valance would be interchangeable? I ask because I deleted the front bumper and need a way to fill the holes... if I find a 48-50 lower valance will the curves meet up for patch panels?

The lower fender sections are different as well. Pretty much everything from the firewall to the front bumper (except the inner fenders) are different between the 48-50's and the 51-52's.

Inner fenders are also different between 48-50, 51 and 52. Three are three different sets of inner fenders, one for each model design year(s) I've listed. Front (and rear) bumpers are also different between 48-50 and 51-52 trucks.

Wherever you read that, it's bad info. The fender extensions and valance are not the same, nor are they interchangeable between the year sets, 48-50 and 51-2. They are a completely different size and shape.

A filler piece for your valance to fill the bumper bracket holes can be formed easily from any piece of ~18 ga. sheetmetal. You don't have to find or cut up another valance to fill the holes.
