I was told the body on a'65 F350 is the same as a '66 F100. Do I need to order carpet for a '66, they don't ask what model F series, just the year ? Just got my '65 this week and ready to get started !
Carpets are the same from 65 through 72. There is a difference between floor shift and column shift because of different height of the center hump. Get a quality carpet and check Motorhaven on this site he may have it.
Are you sure about that? The '65-'66 F-350 cab floor is the same as the '61-'64 (not the '65-'66) F-100 and 250, so wouldn't the shape of the carpet be expected to change too?
There also needs to be a "hump" in the middle for the transmission cover. From '67-72 are all the same, I think.
I was told the cut out in the floor for the step in was the same as a '66. Were the 350,250 and 100 series all the same in '65? It is a 4 speed manual tranny on the floor with a dual lever 4x4 control, thanks for all your help
The entire floor pan in the 65-66 F350 trucks are identical to the floors in the 61-64 F100-F350 trucks. The only exception being tha trans hump. If the trans is a 4speed, floor shift, the hump is higher and wider (also bolted in) If the trans was an auto or a column shift, the hump is lower and narrower (is not bolted in ).
The steps, seat mounting points and everything else is the same.
My two cents is that the '66 F600 floor is also the same as the '64. I have a bias in raising the 600 whenever I can. I just got one and even though I also have a '64 250, I realize I have one heck of a lot to learn on the 600. Any learning partners I can find on this site will help a great deal, I'm sure.
