Would I be fine?

Would I be fine with the ip turned up maybe 1/4 a clock without a pyrometer till I get paid which is like a week away? I could use a little more power for hauling things around my buddies farm my truck weights 12k pounds and i plan on hauling around 5000 pounds. I don't use the truck everyday it's a backup tow truck for my business and have been only using it for personal fun

I would say NO. Towing with a turned up pump with no gauge is like walking threw a mine field blind folded.

Without a turbo you really dont gain any power turning up the pump. you shouldnt evan be able to feel the difference towing that load, you will just smoke more. Its up to you man. If you get a gauge first and you install it go for it. Anything above two flats wouldnt be good for towing at all.

Yes, one flat = one turn on the allen key, or 1/6 of a revolution.
