yea
now i'm trying to decide what to do.have a extra motor that the guy said only had 160,000 miles on it.or throw another set of pistons into this block.they only had 150 on them came from another block that was cracked.

but i'm doing this one as cheap as i can and still get it right.then i'll decide to keep it or sell it.going to check out trans to while i got it out.od light would flash when i rev it up.but not at idle.

a quick look last night it looked ok so i'll give it a good cleaning then check it out real good.if not i have another motor and a std block from my 96 truck

Could that be from high EGT's, if so then my engine is probably going south. On some of these hills in cruise I'm getting worse about kicking the cruise off. I keep thinking, I'm almost to the top while the temp is getting up to 1400*. Its still running great but I'm getting mad at myself for getting lazy about kicking off the cruise.

Don't know what did it.because it was this way when i bought it.but the guy that sold it to me said the kid he got it from drove the hell out of it so ??
Thats the same way my dually does going up hills pulling.still need to install the intercooler i got.just been busy on other things.Just kicking it off like you were doing and slowing some keeps temps around 1100 most of the time
