hey guys, got my new tunes from Matt at gearhead. Pretty dang powerful now! Can't utilize it yet because the ol girl now seems to defuel? 25-27psi and it shuts down every time. Unplugged the map and it doesn't do it but it also doesn't fuel alot. Any of your non Cali trucks cut out like this? Almost sounds like a rev limiter but it seems to be boost related all of a sudden, if you can picture the sound of it it goes waaaAAAHHHH BAP BAP almost like I turn the key on and off fast and I let off . I didn't think these trucks defueled im starting to looking into boost foolers now.
I doubt you are running out of oil with the T500 and stage 2's.
I'd say more than likely if you were to put in a regulator in the MAP line to regulate the PSI going to the MAP to around 15 PSI then you won't see the defuel or the check engine light.
Hey guys thanks for all the responses. It almost feels like it runs out of oil but I'm literally not getting a single code at all, runs mint now all around.
Matt said it should not defuel with his tunes but I agree, I it's a tuning issue since the trucks never done this until i got matts tunes. But yeah t500 and 250/100s. Trying to get this sorted out for dyno day coming up at a mustang place LOL
The other day the truck snapped out of it for a little bit, (some guy tried to pass me on a 1 way road in a gas f250) latahhhhhh!!! Thing smoked the tires and it pulled harder than I've seen so far. It didn't break up or anything, I don't get it!!
Glenn your the man, that's an awesome offer. Pm on the way sir
Steve, do you have an electric gauge for your fuel pressure so you can see what it's doing under load? I know mine does some weird stuff if my fuel pressure drops too much, like when my fuel filter needs to be changed, fuel pressure will drop to around 5psi at WOT. LOL. When it does this, obviously it'll stop making more boost, I lose power, and it seems like it's defueling, but it's just losing pressure.
Travis does yours smoke blue if you drop pressure too much? Thought low pressure would do that. I'm Sure it's time to replace the filters but there not that old I don't think? I got a new fuel gauge finally and my sender crapped out... Glow shift is the worst for fuel gushes BY FAR. Guess I'll order ANOTHER and see of that fixes it.

Nope. No smoke or anything. Just really low on power and low boost at WOT. I usually can't pull more than 25-30psi of boost when I lose fuel pressure like that.
well i got fuel pressure in the cab last night, i must say im proud of my self with this fuel system. with these injectors not being the smallest, i only loose 2psi at WOT in the "hot" tune.
This may sound off but im getting annoyed, are there any ground straps that could effect the computer at all or ANYTHING like that? i just dont understand why the truck wont take to these tunes? truck just never seems to start and run 100% consistant every day now.starts lumpy then starts mint. runs smooth and then its off, if its tuned then it should be as perfect its going to be until it gets a live tune on it.i even tried a new computer with no change in results. ive litterally had my tow tune pull harder than my hot tune a few times. its going on the scanner tonight finally
I don't remember Steve, are you still running twin HPOP's? I know you were at one time, but I don't remember if you still have that setup or not. It almost sounds like you're not getting good HPO right off the bat like you're draining down sometimes and losing prime.
