headlights

Hi, I frequent the 78 ford area but am getting ready to buy an excursion to do my hauling. It's a 2000 v10 4x4 and one of the only visual changes I want to make is updated headlights. They are foggy and instead of cleaning them up, I just want to put in better ones. I've read a bunch of info on different ones, but I haven't really seen anything about HIDs. Is anyone running them, and if so how do you like them? What housings are you using? I see a bunch on ebay, but don't know which ones are better.

Any positive input is appreciated.

For actual light output I would recommend the 02-03 headlights. For looks and good light output look at the 04-07 headlights, more work to install but many like the looks of them better.

The early 99-00(01?) headlights are horrible for light output.
