If I do a diff flip at the rear with a shackle drop kit my understand is the rear will drop about 5 inches. How much will I need to drop the front to make it look flat on a side profile. Will it need to be 5 inches at the front as well.
I was thinking of cutting a coil or two off the front springs to give it a two inch drop and getting drop spindles to get close to the full 5 if I need to.
It not a permanent situation as I'm going to a Mustang 2 set up in the future just don't know when.
Also will I need shortened shocks for this set up. Ive read a lot of threads on lowering but it still confuses me a little.
There are no dropped spindles available for your truck. You will need dropped beams BUT by the time you spend all this money you would be able to do a CV swap or at least well on your way to a MII kit. I don't think figuring out the drop is too tough. Measure the rear from right in front of the tire to the ground. Now measure the front. Subtract 5" from your rear number. Take your front number & subtract the rear number - 5". That should be the amount you need to drop the front to make the truck level. You will also need to notch your frame in the rear.
Let x = rear measurement
Let y = front measurement
Let z = y - (x - 5)
