What is the difference between the Edge Insight CTS Diesel (Part #: 85200) and the Edge Insight CTS (Part #: 83830) The Edge Insight CTS Diesel goes for about another $200 than the other one. Is it ok to run the one that isn't labeled Diesel? I tried to compare them on their web site, not much info really. Anybody with and info or specs, please let me know so I know which one to get. Thanks!

 

Unless you want a tuner you only want the #83830 which is a monitor only. The other one you have listed is a tuner and monitor combined. I have the insight (monitor only) on my truck and I added the rearview camera as well since it wasnt a factory option and I am very pleased with both.

He is correct. I have the Insight CTS monitor only and love the parameters it lets me monitor. My truck only has 16k miles on her right now so I am not going to mess with the warranty. Simple to install and operate.

 

I'm not sure about the newer part numbers but Edge quit making tuners for DPF delete about 6 months ago. Said they learned that people were using them for on road applications. So, if you're getting it from edge's web site it will be a monitor only or a DPF on tuner. That may well be the difference. The one for the diesel is a DPF on tuner, but that's just a guess.
