The wind has changed and we are now in the smoke from a fire about 30 miles up lake from us. It's not bad during the day but at night it's a different story!
555 miles today, I think 13 different highways.
still have to take the fuel truck and the trailer to Scott's valley in the morning, then we will do the 30 mile commute with the spark. 3 hotels in the first 4 days because there aren't many here so the book up quick during a fire.

Bart, did you ever figure out what was causing the frequent regens on the F550?
after changing every sensor, 1 at a time. I ended up changing the entire dpf / dcr unit. I drove it back to California with the trailer, no car in it. It would complete a regen cycle. Terry drove it to Minnesota this spring and I got put on the short haul contract in Idaho, I haven't seen or driven the 16 truck since I took it back to Paso Robles. And haven't talked to Terry about it either.
I think Scott, the owner of the company is going to order 1 or 2 2025 F550's to replace the 16 and the 12.

That was a fun day, fire blew up to 2049 acres in about 4 hours, jumped all the lines, so much smoke they shut down the air tankers. About 5 pm 5 helicopters launched and pulled all the crew off the fire Just before noon, taking lunches to the fure crews Almost dark from all the smoke
