Well I got back from the Doc about 2 hrs ago and he said see him in 6 months. Tests were OK he said so that good news for me. Had a 2 hr thunderstorm that just ended and dropped about 2 inches of rain. Just beat the rainstorm getting back.

Yes Gerry 10K is quite a lick for a paint job on an older truck. Not bad if its a show vehicle but just something to go out and have fun in what you have is OK. Company I worked for the trucks looked like that after 2 yrs anyway!!

Great picture Tim.

Steve...no way could I put up with cold weather with snow and ice. I'll keep taking my chances down here. Had fun riding out Hurricane Ida's 150 mph winds and small tornado's. And the show was free!!

Don, glad your doc visit went well & you got good news! Hopefully the hurricanes will steer clear of you guys this year. I'm sure some unlucky souls will be blasted by one sometime before October rolls around.
Very nice Tim. Where are you?
Bart, no croaking allowed! hope you get better soon.

Evening all. Completing Day 18 getting ready for Day 19. Just getting back to the camper from the Hospital room. Her heart is doing great. She had a Valve replacement with mechanical valve 15 years ago, so we thought we knew what to expect. Well, we are kind of on track. They put a skin valve in this time.
We've been running into problems with O2 sat levels and the aphasia. They have also been waiting to see what the results of some tests they were running on scar tissue and suspicious build ups on the artificial valve they took out. Those tests came back today and do not show any problems so that bridge has been crossed and hurdle removed.
Speech, Respiratory, and Physical Therapy have all been working with her. Speech Therapy has been making the biggest strides. Her information board still has "TBD" in the release date field..

Hey Tim! Your tree looks much better than the tree I'm camping under!

There is a major boulevard about 50 feet beyond the rock retaining wall.

Good morning guys!

Jim, glad to hear the Warden has come through and the docs are feeling better about her recovery. I'm sure you will be glad to get her home!

Gerry, great pics! The guy in the engine bay is awesome. Cars towing trailers twice their size...in the snow Awesome!

T-minus 1 hour until I leave to grab my boss and start running his butt off so he doesn't want to come back, lol. Just kidding. I really like this one. Hope we can keep him.

* Good morning, Gents. Hope everyone is doing ok. Jim, continued prayers or the Warden's fast & speedy recovery. Looks like you made good provisions to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
* Gerry, great pics. I could only imagine the horrible experience of towing that TT with the Falcon. Prolly a gutless inline 6 w/ a 1 bbl carb & 3 on the tree. Had a similar experience w/ my buddy's mom's '73-74 4 door wonky looking Ford Maverick. Small inline 6 w/ 3 on the tree. We were off of school & wanted to go skiing. We had a 15' runabout w/ a 80hp Merc that I pretty much had exclusive use of but my dad was at work & his truck was with him. The only vehicle we could scrounge with a trailer hitch was the Maverick. My buddy's dad had a small aluminum fishing boat that he trailered behind it. Probably 500# total. Well, teenage beggars can't be choosy so we commandeered it for our trip to the lake. I was the only one of the bunch that was experienced pulling a trailer so I was stuck w' the driving task. I can say with certainty that that trip left an imprint on me and my refusal in my gown up life to own & operate a sub-standard tow vehicle. That thing was so slow and gutless towing that boat 'til I almost turned around and went home. Then I thought I was going to burn the clutch up on the boat ramp. Ughh!
* Andre, hope your boss' ride along goes smoothly. Maybe you can impart some of your Ninja-like metal building sales techniques upon him and enrich his knowledge base for the betterment of the entire sales force therefore building the already impressive legend of Andre the Great! Or something like that.
* S-Don, that was a good observation in regard's to Tim's location! Made me laugh.
* Well wishes for the Arizona crew for speedy recoveries from assorted infirmaries. Hope you guys get back to optimal operation efficiency soon.
* We are interviewing for another driver / warehouse / yard person also. His job would entail driving the 3500 of 350, whichever one we end up getting to replace the Chevy (non CDL) as his primary duty but also helping in the yard & production whenever he's not driving. I think we found our man yesterday. We have another scheduled for today but unless he really blows us away I'm thinking the guy from yesterday is the man. hell, maybe we hire them both! wouldn't be unjustified.
* Hope everyone has a glorious day. Getting ready to head west w/ the 40'er loaded down. first stop in Palatka (Meth capitol of north Fl) then on to Lake City. the guy's yard in Palatka is pretty tight so it's usually a good test of the driver's abilities. Not an easy place to get turned around in and almost impossible to back in off the street unless you had a police escort to stop traffic. Our original plan got blown up this AM. Customer called & said he wouldn't be able to unload us today because some other thing had come up. It's a 250+ sections of 6' hi white Privacy. We can't get a 40'er in his place so we were going to convoy it down on the 2 shorter trailers, with the Palatka stop on the back of the 2nd trailer. Since that got s-canned we put the Palatka load and added a couple of nice size orders for a customer in Lake City. No rest for the weary!!!

Good morning guys!!

Had the last load of metal picked up this morning. This was from the RV cover and was the roof section. It was in a pasture behind the house and had a neighbor pull it out with a tractor. Had a big claw machine on the side of a big dump truck. They still have a lot of debris left around here from the storm last August. Lots of people are still living in campers where their house use to be.

Andre the giant was a huge man. Got to see him wrestle years ago against Hulk Hogan in the Superdome.

Have a great day guys!

Met and purchased a beer for Andre the giant back in the day. You would not believe the size of this man. A beer bottle looked like a toy in his hands. Very nice fellow.

Bruce..I think one beer was just a teaser! No one could outdrink him...that was a nice gesture though! Looked up his bio and said he was 7'-4" and 520 lbs. Big man for sure.
