I don't remember the last time I was on the site.
So far this year been to Redwater Alberta for a unit upgrade prior to replacement (upgrade on the unit being installed), Torrance California for a failure to accelerate to speed (no maintenance in 5 years and operating outside of design specifications), Pascagoula Mississippi for a routine inspection with a exhaust replacement, Catoosa Oklahoma for preliminary inspection for a turbine exchange, and now sitting in Benicia California replacing a turbine that cratered. coming to the end of the second week and finish Monday or Tuesday then off to Lusby Maryland to baby sit the compressors at a LNG facility till the 5th of July. Then it's back up to Redwater in August for 2 months to do that turbine exchange then back here to Benicia for their scheduled maintenance in October for 2 months.
Think I'm gonna take July off to do some work at the house. Was working on my shop before the world went nuts for me, getting ready to pull the electrical feeder cable.
Yeah Memorial Day has been on my mind recently especially my dad, he lied about his age and went in the Navy at 16 in 1944 so did the last part of WWII in the Pacific and he retired in 1968 early in Vietnam, Cancer got him from Agent Orange in 2000. Tough old guy, 19 surgeries trying to get it all but they never did.
My brothers and I all served, Air Force, Navy, Marines.
All of us served proudly and never regretted what we did and what it stands for.
To all who serve and have served thank you for those freedoms we still have.
