Saw an elk hunter as I was getting going on my ride. He was in the 8,000 foot elevation. Complained he had not seen any.
I told him he was high enough. The elk were still at the top of the mountain. Too warm at 8,000 foot.
Said, No he had hiked up and not seen any sign. So he was hunting down closer to his truck.

I shrugged my shoulders and continued my ride. When I got up 9500-9800 foot elevation I ran into a big herd of maybe 100 elk.
It was fun watching them scatter thru the quakies.

Beautiful day again today. Big storm blowing in for Saturday. So not many more days at that elevation.

Long day at the polls. Got there at 0515, opened at 0630 to a pretty good line of people voting on the way to work. All went smoothly, it was a good experience all in all. If you want to know something about where I live, I think this says it pretty well. 3 rural precincts in northern Ohio, today's vote Trump 466, Biden 72. 1200 eligible voters, 551 came in today and 518 voted early, turnout of almost 89%. We have tried.
