Don..that would have been fun to drive in downtown New Orleans with the narrow streets. We had one truck/trailer West Coast rig that ran out of Baton Rouge but he hauled to bulk plants and not service stations. In the early 70's some of the stations were built in the 20's and 30's in residential areas of New Orleans...the truck and trailer would block out the station!! NIce KW tractor...last ones we had at our terminal were KW900A models with 903 Cummins engines.
it is probably nice to be in a house that doesn’t move!!!! Welcome home!
The Montana was good to live in...... Saw a bunch of great places. I will not miss the traffic and terrible roads.........
The Ocean and Beaches were really nice.....
Thanks again Roy, It was so much fun and educational to follow you around. I really don't think I will be able to see the places that you have seen on this trip! I looked forward to signing on every day and checking out what Roy, Lynn and Theresa were up to.
I had my post op visit with the knee surgeon today and went well, I have been released to go back to work light duty, starting next Monday. Now I just need the boss to buy into the light duty project I have in mind. Good news, bad news I guess. Now that I'm feeling better it's nice just to be home . But I'm not getting paid full wages so it will be nice to get back to full pay.
WELCOME HOME ROY! It's hard to believe that it's been 6 months already! You've really set Theresa up for a tough go of it as she gets older and tries to take trips on her own. You kind of set the bar at a level that will be impossible to obtain! The real life learning experiences you have given her are nothing sort of amazing. She has already seen more of this country than I have! You and Lynn are doing it right, my friend!
Tim, great news! Keep us posted on if the bossman goes for your idea.
Don, those doubles would be a treat to drive. Need lots of power to pull that much fuel!
Truck gets a couple of more mods today. Tint and the tonneau. I ordered the tonneau local at the same place doing the tint. They matched amazon and are installing for free. Good deal.
The Warden had to go in for a minor (doctors and my description - not hers) surgery, that was unplanned, yesterday. They made me bring her home last night. This morning I'm getting a BIG lesson in the literal interpretation of; "A bear with a sore butt!"
