It spit tiny snow or ice off and on most of the day. only got up to 32°( compared to yesterdays 56°)
With the wind it flet very cold.
Wouldn't you know it, I'm loading up horses tomorrow and heading to Southern Utah for a couple of days of riding. Truck pops up, "Change oil soon" message
I'm leaving on a 1000 mile round trip tomorrow. Guess I'd better change the oil today. I've got oil, Air Filters, Fuel Filters, But no Oil filter. Dang it, Have to run to Auto parts store and buy a Motorcraft oil filter.
It was about 3 pm this afternoon when I finally got back home to change oil. I don't like doing it in the garage because I always seem to spill some. So outside on the asphalt drive where I park my horse trailer.
It's cold, I'm in a T-shirt ( something I can throw away in case I get oil on it) But I got the oil changed and while the oil was draining, I swapped out air filters. The fuel filter is going to have to wait till it warms back up.
So each day, I do up to the house I'm building for Heavy D. The streets have a 12% sign saying trucks need to use lower gear. The dash in my truck says it's a 6° or 7° hill depending on just where I am.
I've always heard that a 6° slope is equal to a 12% grade. Anybody know for sure?

Poor Lynn. She looks like she's about three sheets to the wind. I promise I won't tell. You look good next to Trey Gowdy.

Ha! I didn't even know "road grade" didn't directly equate to %. You made me think so I looked it up.
One question that came to my mind was if the grade was actually steeper than you think because your truck is leveled. Would the angle of the road as reported on your dash be a percentage higher if you weren't leveled?

I was just going to post that tool for Jon, but Jim beat me to it! Nice. That's still a steep one. My driveway is 7degrees and it's a MF when we don't get it cleaned off right away.
It's been a slow last 4 months at work, but man is it busy now. I can barely keep up. I was able to sell a couple of really nice projects so far. Looking for one more later this week or first of next. I'm hopeful.
