This is prolly a 1 page thread at most
There is a Jacob Hamblin Museum in St George Utah. He was an early pioneer who explored a lot of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
They have his saddle in that Museum with note that he rode it for 30,000 miles. When I first saw it years ago, I was very impressed that an early explorer could ride that far.
But after 20 years of riding, I'm finding that I do 1200,-1500 miles every year, That 30,000 number comes around pretty fast.
So maybe one of my daughters can inherit my saddle when I'm gone and say her dad explored 30,000 miles of Utah/Wyoming on horseback.

Howdy guys!
Beautiful saddle Jon!
Still cold and snowing here. New record set!!!
Friday, April 13, 2018, 9:31 AM - Some records weren't meant to be broken and this, is definitely one of them. The city of Edmonton, Alberta has become the (un)lucky winner of an historic stretch of cold weather. We're talking nearly SIX months of overnight lows below freezing.
Have a good weekend everyone!!

Apparently ... the new floor made our furniture look like crap.
So I got the call on Wednesday from my wife to bring sled ed out of retirement and go pickup "a new couch". Told her I can pickup a couch with the truck and was told to go get the trailer .....
Turns out to be 2 couches and a love seat. Can't wait for the visa bill, my wife doesn't know it's a recession .......

Storm due late tonight and into tomorrow. 3 to 4 inches of rain...severe thunderstorms and possible tornado's. Glad we changed our camping trip to next weekend. Lots of festivals going on this time of year but that doesn't stop the partying!
3 yrs ago these rail cars were blown off a bridge in the New Orleans area about 40 miles from my house. That morning the sky was the darkest I've seen and looked like the world was going to end. This was just a freak storm that kicked up!

Ice will be on the lake for a while tho.
I will be mowing out there but I think I am pretty much done with the cutting. Most of it was to clear for the shooting range.
Wife bought me a pretty good BDay present
Will make things a bit easier at the cabin.
Where are you at with your spring work?
Must be high and dry by now?
