You mean the sound of an idle turbo or something spinning? It's hard for me to tell what the issue is. Do you think it sounds like a bad turbo bearing?
It could be something in the SCR can too, I'm not sure if it has any moving parts. Maybe the urea pump?
I think you're gonna have to drive the wheels off it to make something fail if you think there's a problem.
It's hard to tell, and I could be picking up on the wrong noise, but it sounds like the same noise my transmission makes in park after it's warmed up, I thought it was normal... no one else has this?
ford tech says it may posibly be torque converter bad or just noisy hes not totaly sure.... he used those chassis ears to isolate the noise within the bell housing will know more at some point. also this noise is only there when vehicle is fully warm like previous post except this does it in any gear. and always random i can give it some revs to make it go away temperarly. torbo was all ready swaped out 2 months ago. other symptoms are 2 mpg loss when noise is there, 5% to 10% loss in power, exsessive clicking(more then normal under truck.
just to update... tech is replaceing transmission valve body, whatever that is... says the line pressure is all over the place should have it back next week. we shall see.

valve body did no good... noise still persist... ford dealer now seems scared to look into it any further... makes no sense, if there is a problem that needs fixed. why would they not want to keep touble shooting?
