The code is telling you there is a miss fire on cylinder 1. This is often caused by a bad coil(COP). However this could be caused by other things like a bad fuel injector, bad spark plug, or an internal engine problem. The coil is certainly the first thing I would look at and is much more commong than the othes I put on the list.

thanks im going to get one they are not to expensive 42$ and atleast i can get to that one fairly easily and change it myself
Dead COP is rare unless Ford messed it up. For example, on my '98 and the #4 COP: it broke twice and later I found it's the AC line on top of it dripping condensed water on it!

so you think it the spark plug itself ,is it possible to test the cop to make sure , can auto zone do a test
Like brodi said, swap coils. Disconnect the negative battery cable, swap coils # 1 & 2, connect the battery cable, go for a drive, and see if the code moves to 0302. Motorcraft plugs are good for 100K so they should be fine, if they're MC.

If you can wait a week for them to ship in, you can buy a set of 8 off eBay for about $75.
The other thing is, when a COP goes bad it usually not the COP. Usually it is the rubber boot on the bottom of the COP where the insulation elements break down and allows spark to jump sideways. Most auto parts stores have the boots for around $3.00 each. So you might even want to try that route first.

ok ill try that first maybe , i asked the guy who worked on it and he said he tried switching the cop with no luck
What do you mean by "no luck?" Did you already switch the COP with another and the misfire remained at cylinder #1? Did you clear the trouble codes after swapping it? If not, the code could be there because of the original misfire.

ok i bought just the boot and a new coil i think i put it in right the old boot had a little split at the end that goes down in to the hole , i disconected the battery put everything back and put some dieeltric stuff on both ends , i didnt know how much to apply i didnt use alot , should i have
well just replacing the boot and not the coil pack didnt work still runs like crap , and the batt light came on for a a couple of min. them went out . so i guees the next step is to replace to coil and see if that does the trick
