v-10 cops

I have a 01 f250 with the v-10 is there any way to check the coils without expensive test equipment. truck has 225000 on it has motorcraft coils in it. seems like it has a little stumble at idle. thanks for the help

Scan your truck for pending codes, which will indicate which cylinder is misfiring.

To test the COP, swap two of them and see if the misfire follows the COP or stays at the cylinder.

Clean the MAF sensor and throttle body too. Causes a poor idle along with a dirty or bad IAC

Yes, a stumble at idle (on 2V engines) is usually a dirty or malfunctioning Idle Air Control (IAC) valve. Reps sent to mikeismadness.

How many miles on the plugs? I doubt you will get a code or CEL from a slight misfire on the year truck you have.
