I agree, that replacing the dash is alot of work. I didn't imply they replaced the dash. I'm referring to the hood only. It's been 50+ years since the truck was new and alot of things could have been done to it. Who knows, it could be a mix of different year parts. Stranger things have happened. The best thing would to post the serial number from the frame and see what it deciphers to. I have a friend who has a 48 and it has a 52 nose on it, and has been that way since the 60's. it was in a accident and that's what he could find at the time. By the 60's, most, if not all of the sheetmetal for these trucks were already obsolete and deleted from the price books.

thanks for the info guys. my rear window is only 29" so it is a 48, 49 or 50 cab. my vin is 72BA388P23. where is the serial # there is a plate in the clove box and on the fire wall above the battery.
