I guess my posesvieness of my vehicles may not be all bad.i dont let but just a couple people drive my junk.last time i loaned my ol dodge it blew a heater hose and the guy was too dumb to realize it.i drove it half way home and realized it...dang near burned the engine down...im even less likely now to loan.the whole deal just stinks!
How did that not rip the mirror mount off the door?
The mount stopped the truck from rolling over all the way...
But actually, I'm curious; did the truck end up on its roof, or on the side?
Gotta ask - did anybody let him drive the truck, or know that he was driving it? If it was his parents who approved it, I would shoot for a settlement from their insurance co., either auto or home.
Wow. I know you are pissed at your nephew right now, but at least he's still alive. Trucks can be replaced--people can't. Unfortunately, if you gave him permission to drive the truck, there won't be much you can do to collect from him or his parents.
That sure was a nice lookin truck. I feel for ya. If it were me, I'd sell the engine and tranny for as much as I could get out of them and then scrap the rest. That crew cab will bring some decent money even without the engine and tranny in it. If you can stand looking at it in your back yard for a while, you could also probly sell some of the usable parts left on it. I hope you it worked out.
