Haha don't worry i got plenty of rust but unfortunately it is on the body and sheet metal. Stuff i wouldn't be able to easily remove with electricity.

Careful what you wish for Dylan, I saw one how-to online where a guy stripped the rust from an entire 24' trailer frame using this method. He built a "tank" out of 24" tall plywood sides and dropped heavy plastic in it then filled it with a hose, mixed up the solution, then hung his anode grid all over by the frame. It said he stripped the whole frame in 2 days with a few batteries and chargers going.

I cleaned all of the scale and rust off of the rear differential cover from my '01 Excursion today. No pics as I was also trying to make dinner at the same time and spent all of my time running back and forth while constantly stopping to wash my hands. I'll try to get pics of the final painted project tomorrow.

I have seen pvc plastic stock tanks, but I think a kidde swimming pool would be ok for bigger projects, fenders, t-gates, axle housings, etc. I should try this. I suppose my 50 amp power supply from my ham shack would work as well as a charger.

power supply from a PC? Be careful there buddy, if you push too much through those they can catch on fire pretty quick. You can use them to power a car amp and connect the speakers to your surround sound system for super subs. Or make pc speakers with that. I looked into it a while ago but it was too dangerous for me.

A kiddie pool isn't a bad idea but i don't know if those are big enough for something like a tailgate or fender. Unless you can find a bigger kiddie pool...

So after the dip to clean it I primed and painted the rear diff cover of my Excursion and bolted it back on. I think it will stand out well from under her rear.

Yes, but they are for the Bronco project. This was my diversion to work on my Excursion which is my daily driver. I may paint all of the brake hardware on the Ex white at the next brake job, but I hope that is a long way off!

I forget you are a multi-tascer Next time you service the rear in the Ex, think about putting the 08 cover on. It's the alum finned one. I'm putting it on mine when I finish up the new rear. Still have a few more parts to shock, before I put it back together. Short $$$
