2001 Ford Ranger Alarm Issue
Having problems with my 2001 Ford ranger 3.0L v6, when the alarm goes off or the horn is blown the horn only makes a slight honk sound, the lights flash all other indications seam to work correctly during alarm, just the horn does not sound correctly, I tested the voltage with a DVM, during the horn cycle there seems to only be around 6 VDC at the horn, I am assuming this is why the horn is not sounding correctly, when I connect the horn directly to the Battery the horn sounds correctly, I do not believe that it is a grounding issue at the horn. I cannot find a correct wiring diagram and what I think I have been able to find is that the horn voltage comes directly from the Alarm module? Is this correct? Any advice?
