I am trying to wrap up a 91 T-Bird 5.0 & AOD swap into a 71 F100. I am trying to use all Ford parts whenever possible.
Just realized the TV cable is broken. Actually, the white plastic part that runs about 4-6" past the throttle end, that has snapped making that end floppy. I figure it should be replaced, that Ford had a reason for having that plastic shaft. I read that Ford (pn F0AZ-7F042-A) discontinued the part. Any suggestions for replacements? I am thinking that a F-series would be easiest to pull at a salvage yard.
F-series trucks used a totally different connector and adjuster mechanism than the cars(that's Ford for ya ) so you'll have to find a Mustang or T-bird to pull from.
