In my quest for even more power, I'm looking at various methods of forced induction. I'm researching both superchargers and turbos. I'm partial to a turbo because of my past experience with them but a good blower seems to be a safe bet with our trucks. There are several turbod V10s on these forums and an excursion with a setup I want to mimic. I'm hoping those people will post but anybody with any experience with turbocharging something that originally wasn't please chime in!

I've always dreamed of doing this - two little twins would probably work great - with a 6.0 diesel intercooler. I kept my cheapo ebay headers just on the off chance I wanted to flip them upside down and fab up two flange adapters

Someday...
I'm thinking a single slug like that excursion I mentioned. The guy did a good job on it but didn't post enough pictures to decipher how he ran his piping. Then he fell off the face of the earth and haven't seen from him or been able to contact him at all
Well I believe this will be my journal thread for me turbocharging my truck. Got underneath the truck today and figured out how to run my pipes. I got plenty of room but I'll have to delete my egr, move somethings around in the turbos location as well as providing the thermal barriers needed to keep everything from melting. I sketched out my pipes and priced everything out using a Cummins slug from a 05-07 (which I need to figure out how to detune to yield manageable
boost levels) and the price itself got me to greenlight this adventure. I bid everything on the steep side but even then it's still cheaper than the paxton kit and it will be 1000x sweeter sounding and performing I believe. Plus it provides me with the hands on fabrication I enjoy. Tomorrow I'm getting me a couple pool noodles and some pliable wire and start mocking up some hot pipes

Thanks fellers. Sadly enough I don't have any automotive enthusiast friends in nd to share this build with. Playing with my noodle as I write. Figuring out the first hot pipe that will mate with the log manifold
