No spark
I have s 93 f150 4.9 I started it today and it just died it has no spark changef coil no change

Never used one, hmm and it was placed on the coil wire to test? Is the coil brand new?

Ignition module is most common failure. Remove it and take it to your favorite auto parts store, most of them can test it. You can remove the dist cap first, make sure the rotor turns with the engine.

Yea the ignition module either works or it doesn't might be that if there is absolutely zero spark. Its a common problem

Does it icm have to be monted to the fender to ground I tried another off a running truck no chage but I didnt bolt it up

Well I'm pretty sure it has to be attached to the frame thingy the icm is mounted on and then attached to the fender

It started smoking in the cab when it died I pulled computer it smells burnt so I pulled it outta parts truck still nothing

I fixed it giys thanks for all ur help it was the red wire on the plug for the coil it was coroded but connected I accendently broke it off so I rewired another plug on it
