I want to know if its going to hurt going from E to D range tires.
I don't do hardly any hauling anymore, I have long since sold my trailer and I wont be towing a camper for a while. If its a problem Ill wait if its not that big of a deal then i purchase these.
I typically wouldn't even have this questions, but the load E's I want are back ordered for a while.
If you aren't carrying loads, D's are fine, E's are necessary to handle the weight. When I had 16.5's on, they were D rated. Did fine normal, but was shredding them under the goosenecks.
for the stuff i do and its not much hauling i more or less got some nasty dirt roads out here i gotta have the e rated 12ply tires on my ride anything else is too mucky and too soft to deal with what i put them through and i have yet to get some because the 16's are so hard to find around here any more its a joke. but i can tell ya you will notice a difference in ride quality if you switch to d's they are a softer tire. little more ballonish if you know what i mean
If you aren't towing I also vote D.
That is what I ran on my rig when I had it.... I still had more than enough rating to tow a boat.
I ran 33in BFG M/Ts
